What kind of church are we? Saint Catherine's is an Anglican Church, worshipping in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, constrained by the architecture of the building we use, with an emphasis on outreach ministry, and programs for youth that invite participation by the broader community given the small size of our youth group. (If any of this doesn't make sense, click on the links!)
The Anglican Parish of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, within the Diocese of New Westminster, is part of the Anglican Church of Canada.
We are called to be a church that lives in Christ, nurturing our parish family through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, prayer and education, and looking outward, aware of and responding to the needs of those in the community and the world.
Saint Catherine's participates in the Education for Ministry (EfM) program, which is a four-year, part-time study program in theology for both lay people and clergy. It is designed to help people to think theologically, develop a personal systematic theology and increase their knowledge of the scripture, history and traditions of the church.
Saint Catherine's is pleased to be associated with Compassionate Internet Christian Church Ministry, a sanctuary for people who believe that we are stewards of God's unlimited love and compassion, which should be extended beyond ourselves to all earthly creatures and to the environment.
